Rift is a very addictive game and if you are just starting out then you will want to hit the level cap as quickly as possible in order to get the most from the game. Once you have reached the level cap, you will be able to enjoy the game with the knowledge that your character is not holding you back.
If you play the game for 2-3 hours per day you will most likely hit level 50 after a few of weeks of playing. It is, however, possible to reach level 50 much quicker if you know what to do. This type of rapid leveling is known as power leveling. Any player will level up much faster if they play the game for a second time because they will have already had to learn how to spend their time effectively. If you do not use a leveling guide you will take much longer to reach level 50 by wasting your gaming time on activities which provide Low XP. We’ll provide a quick RIFT leveling guide which will help you get to reach level 50 as soon as possible with just a few short tips.
The most important thing is to spend as much time as possible questing, this is what helps you to power level. If you spend a lot of time crafting you will level up much more slowly. Work is also a low XP activity. There are ways to gain XP which are not as enjoyable as questing. We will look into those later in this RIFT leveling guide, but it is still important to enjoy playing the game whilst power leveling so questing is a great way building XP without the game becoming a chore.
One other important factor that you should not ignore is side quests. With so many side quests popping up you can easily miss opportunities to gain XP. Make sure you look out for these side quests they are an excellent way to quickly level up. If you look immediately take on a new quest as soon as you finish one you will not waste your time traveling all over the map.
When you are in a particular area keep your eyes open for opportunities to gain XP. If you are not careful you will easily waste time traveling back and forth between destinations. If you finish a quest, look for another straight away in the same place.
Personally I prefer questing as the best way to level up, at the beginning of the game the EXP rewards are excellent. It does drop a little later and if you get a little bored with questing there is another option to build levels quickly. This is known as grinding mobs.
Basically grinding mobs is staying in one place and killing monsters constantly with the sole purpose of building XP. This can be very boring but it is very effective. If you chose to go this route then look for monsters that you can kill easily without constantly stopping to heal.
It is also crucial to find monsters that provide good XP so try to strike a good balance. As any good RIFT leveling guide will tell you, if you want to level quickly you will need to grind, at least a little, try to mix it up with the more interesting activities or you may never return to the game.
If you find a good grind spot you will gain a lot of XP quickly but it’s known as grinding for a reason, it’s not much fun. My advice is to quest and, if you come across a particularly good grind spot, naturally stay there for a while and build up some XP before moving on to the next quest. Games should be fun after all and questing is a lot more fun than grinding mobs.
If you know any other players that are more experienced than you it is a good idea to meet them online. They will be able to help you to complete higher XP quests that you wouldn’t be able to complete alone or without a RIFT leveling guide.
They will also have a good idea of what it takes to level up quickly. A player who has reached level 50 will always be able to do it more quickly the second time around because they have already played the game. If you play alongside a more experienced player you will be able to learn a lot from the way they play the game.
Finally, one of the most important Rift game tips for quick leveling is to make sure you play on a PVP (Player vs Player) server because if you play on a PVE (Player vs Environment) you will
level up much more slowly than on PVP. Do not waste your time by playing without knowing what you are doing because you won’t get the most out of the game and you might give up on it too quickly, which would be a shame, because as MMOs go, RIFT is just amazing. If you use a RIFT leveling guide you will know exactly how to approach the game and not waste your time at a low level for weeks on end.
